A 30-year veteran of Xerox who began her career selling copiers, Anne Mulcahy was named CEO in 2001 and then Chairman in 2002. During this frank presentation, Ms. Mulcahy will talk about how she became CEO, inheriting a company teetering on the verge of bankruptcy and what she did to turn it around into a once-again competitive and profitable company. She will share the leadership lessons she learned along her way up to the top, such as the need to get honest feedback, the need to communicate, the importance of continuing to invest in R&D even when the need to dramatically reduce costs in other areas exists, and the value of people. Ms. Mulcahy will also share her observations about the state of women in business – better than it was, but not nearly good enough!
