Jennifer Goforth, vice-president of interactive production, is responsible for the daily creation of content for the HGTV.com, Foodnetwork.com, DIYnetwork.com, Fineliving.com, HGTVPro.com, and GACTV.com web sites. In addition to these duties, she oversees the development of interactive advertising solutions for Scripps Networks online ad sales clients.
Goforth initially came to Scripps in 1996 as part of the online development team for HGTV.com. She developed the first convergent online experience for HGTV.com and went on to build an interactive design team to service a growing need for online advertising solutions. Prior to joining Scripps Networks, Goforth worked as a freelance writer in Knoxville, TN writing for television and newspapers in the area.
Goforth was selected in 2005 to Multichannel News’ 40 under 40, was named to Cable World Magazine’s “50 Most Powerful Women 2006: Top Women in Technology” list and is a 2007 graduate of the Wome in Cable Telecommunication’s esteemed Betsy Magness Leadership Program.
Goforth holds a Bachelor of Science in communication from the University of Tennessee. She resides in Knoxville with her husband, Dr. Keith Goforth, a professor of theology.
