Kelly Regal

Kelly L. Regal is executive vice president of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS, Inc.).  In addition to maintaining executive oversight of the company’s human resources, corporate communications, image management, research and market strategy functions, her portfolio encompasses wide-ranging initiatives that span Turner’s global news, entertainment and animation networks and businesses.  Regal is based in Atlanta and reports to Phil Kent, chairman and CEO, TBS, Inc.

Regal joined the company in 1996 as employment counsel, overseeing employment litigation and other related employment matters for the company, including employment contracts, policy development and consistent enforcement of day-to-day employment policies.  She was named senior counsel in January 1998 and promoted to vice president of human resources policy and planning in 1999; to senior vice president of corporate human resources in 2001; to executive vice president of corporate human resources in June 2002; and to executive vice president in March 2003. 

Prior to joining TBS, Inc., Regal was an employment law associate at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker.  In this capacity, she represented private and public employers in employment and labor law matters including race, sex, age and disability discrimination claims, as well as charges of sexual harassment, wage and hour disputes and unfair labor practices.

Regal earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing from Boston College and a juris doctor degree from Boston College Law School.  She is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and Women in Cable and Television (WICT), serves on the boards of 21st Century Leaders and the Board of Directors Network, Inc.
