Susan Scott joined CarterBaldwin as a partner in 2006. Her search expertise includes a wide variety of clients in the broadband, media, technology, and entertainment sectors. She also leads CarterBaldwin’s Diversity practice.
Most recently, Ms. Scott was Senior Vice President of Distribution for The Weather Channel in Atlanta, with responsibility for developing new revenue streams, convergence management and strategy, interactive product development, and operations. Previous to this she was Senior Vice President of Distribution for IN DEMAND L.L.C., Vice President of Sales at FeedRoom.com, Vice President of Business Development at Fox News, Director of Business Development for Turner Entertainment Networks International, and a sales executive at Summit Cable Services. She began her career in the radio business.
Ms. Scott also founded a professional speaking business, Truthleader Enterprises, which focused in improving leadership skills and diversity competencies for executives and organizations.
Among her many honors and achievements, Ms. Scott is the past National Chair of Women in Cable Telecommunications, a former Chair of the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute, and was a Senior Leader Development Fellow at Landmark Communications. The editors of CableWorld Magazine named her among the Top 100 Executives in Cable Television, the Top 100 Women in Cable Television, and the Top 100 Minorities in Cable Television.
Ms. Scott is a Trustee of the Galloway School Board of Trustees in Atlanta, and serves on the Planning and Diversity Committees. She is also a sponsor of the Atlanta CEO Council, and a member of the Empty Stocking Fund Board.
