Mimi Thigpen is Vice President of Strategy for Cox Communications, Inc. She is responsible for developing strategies across all of Cox’s products and services and leads the company’s strategic planning and corporate development processes. Ms. Thigpen also develops growth strategies based on emerging technologies and investment opportunities, is a key contributor to Cox's wireless efforts, and serves as the company’s chief consultant on companywide initiatives.
Prior to joining Cox Communications, Ms. Thigpen served as a Managing Director of BearingPoint, Inc. and a Partner for Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, where she provided business advisory services in the communications and media industries. She began her career with the Hewlett-Packard Company, where she led multiple global sales and marketing teams.
A graduate of Clemson University, Ms. Thigpen holds a B.S. in Mathematical and Computer Sciences.
Ms. Thigpen is on the board of directors of Connecting With Kids, Inc. and is an active member of the Atlanta community, volunteering her time to causes such as Childspring International, Atlanta Urban Ministries, and Hands on Atlanta.
